More than you could possibly want to know...

What kind of name is "Jas"? Once they realized that naming a boy "Shirley" wasn't the great idea it had originally seemed, and Hilda seemed a strange name for an Irish kid, they went with "James". THe common abbreviation for James is "Jas" - and I've been called that for at least 20 years.

Where in the world do you get the four o'clock follies questions? Those come from a bunch of different places, and they all have a couple of things in common. They have to be family-friendly, they have to be things that you might already know or could easily find out, and they have to be FUN!  Look to the left for a link to the archives - if you missed an answer, chances are that it's there!

An early childhood picture of Jas...Is that really an early childhood picture of you reading that nasty magazine? Nope...I never had a floral print chair in my whole life. I've heard that Alan Reed has a chair that looks suspiciously like that one...you'd better ask him.

What made you decide to get into radio? After years of doing something else, I finally decided to follow the dream that I'd had since I was really young. After three weeks of radio courses in a community college I got the chance to work at a local station part time, and I was hooked! I was doing radio full-time less than a year later, and have never looked back once.

Tell us more about the poor, tortured soul that is your bride: Her name is Laura, and it seems like she's been my best friend and wife forever . She is the "normal" one in the family, and without her we'd probably be living in a tree and eating beetles. Laura has a real job, wears nice clothes, and even has a college education! She's from Long Island, so you'll have to use smaller words whenever possible :)

Have you got any good advice that you plan on passing along to future generations? "Cleanliness" is NOT next to "Godliness", I looked it up... It's really much closer to "Cleavage".

"Everybody thinks of changing humanity and nobody thinks of changing himself."  Leo Tolstoy

"Some days, I'm not even sure why I bother to chew through the restraints..." - Not sure, but worth posting!
